Final EM

Emily Gomez

Program Specialist – Sustainable Transportation
Emily joined the Ecology Action team in 2012 after working for many years at Save Our Shores, a local marine conservation non-profit. She’s been focused on building community engagement across all programs through implementing dynamic outreach strategies. Emily loves managing the Bike To Work program and encouraging youth and adults to live active lives for themselves and the environment. She has a passion for environmental stewardship and strives to use her skills in program management and community engagement to work towards improved societal and environmental outcomes. When she’s not in the office you’ll most likely find her soaking up the sun at the beach, hiking, making art and volunteering for other awesome environmental non-profits in town.

Final Kira

Kira Ticus

Program Specialist – Sustainable Transportation
Kira has been working in the sustainable transportation field since graduating from UCSC in 2009 with a degree in Environmental Studies. Her passion for environmental education and action began at a young age, when traveling the world with her family. With inspiration from the oceans, rain forests, deserts and more, she’d dedicated her life to making the world a better place. Through her work at Ecology Action, she is excited to blend her love for the environment with her love for this beautiful coastal community. She enjoys long runs, days in the sun and spending time with her dog (and fiance) at the beach.

Final Nallely

Nallely Martinez

Program Coordinator – Sustainable Transportation
As a bilingual coordinator, Nallely has been focusing on working to enrich parent involvement in the Safe Routes to School movement with predominantly Spanish-speaking communities. She has experience working with kids of all ages and is passionate about encouraging youth to stay active. Nallely is also a League of American Bicyclists Certified Instructor and she enjoys the time spent teaching and fostering children’s interest in cycling. On her time off she can be found working on her most current art project or enjoying a nice picnic in the beautiful outdoors that surrounds Santa Cruz County.
