  • MBoSC Group Ride

    NOTE: Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz County is currently looking for ride leaders for their Saturday rides. Please contact info@mbosc.org if you are interested in becoming a ride leader!

    Intermediate Wilder Group Ride: Every 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Saturday of the Month at Wilder Ranch

    Riders with some off-road handling skills and moderately good fitness are welcome on this intermediate level ride. (Our monthly “Slow(er) Ride” is better suited for beginners.) The pace is determined by the riding level of those who show up. Most of the regulars are intermediate and very social. If the group is large, we may split into a fast and slow group. The route and total distance vary, but we typically do about 12 miles and around 1300 feet of climbing.

    Meet at 10 am at the park sign just north of the tunnel under Highway 1. The best way to get to the meeting spot is to park in the Wilder Ranch parking lot, walk your bike through the Ranch area, past the barn, chickens and garden, ride under the highway using the tunnel and you should see the park sign by the cattle gate.Helmets and a ready-to-ride mountain bike are required for all MBoSC rides. You don’t have to be a member to ride. This is a great opportunity to meet local riders and enjoy the abundance of trails in our corner of the world.

  • Bike Week First Friday at the Museum of Art & History

    First Friday Bike Night at the Museum of Art & History represents the kick-off celebration for Bike Week and is hosted by Ecology Action and Bike Santa Cruz County! Bike Night is a family-friendly, inclusive experience for community members to learn about local bike resources and celebrate biking in Santa Cruz. The event features a host of activities including: Interactive, arts and crafts activities for kids of all ages, a kid-friendly, costumed community bike ride with Greenways to School and Bike Santa Cruz County, and live music from 6:30-9pm courtesy of Dan P. & the Bricks, a 10-piece, local ska band with a 5-piece horn section, two guitars, an organ, a bass and drums.

    Jump on your bikes for a green-themed Bike Party Ride organized by  Santa Cruz Bike Party and Bike Santa Cruz County. Santa Cruz Bike Party is a mobile party for riders of all ages, experience levels, and types to meet, ride, and play together in the streets. Riders are encouraged to wear green costumes or decorate their bike to fit the theme.
